A website builder for education is a tool that lets a private school, a private kindergarten, a tutor or a translation office publish its own professional website without writing code. 4SoftEdu gives you a gallery of themes, a visual editor and one-click publishing, with hosting and an SSL certificate included. It builds the public website only: it does not manage students or classes and it does not sell online.
A small education business usually needs one thing first: a proper website where parents and clients can read what you offer, contact you and find a way to book. 4SoftEdu gives you the themes, the editor and the publishing; the booking page comes from 4appointments.
The gallery has two themes today: one for a tutor's site and one for a school or an online-education centre. They are presentation websites with pages, a blog and a contact form. There is no separate kindergarten or translation-office theme: start from the school theme and change the content.
Open the theme in the builder, change the text, images, logo and styles in a visual editor and rearrange the blocks. You do not write code. The visual editor is part of the Plus, Pro and Premium plans.
Publishing is one button in the builder, and you can edit and publish again at any time. A live site is served on a domain you connect, with an SSL certificate issued automatically.
Messages sent through the contact form on your site are stored and, once you set a recipient address, e-mailed to it, so an enquiry from a parent or a client does not get lost.
4appointments gives your account a public booking page. Put its link on a button on your site, and the visitor picks a slot there; the appointment appears in your 4appointments calendar. The booking page is separate from your site, not a block inside it, and you switch it on yourself.
A booking made through that page arrives as a request. When the visitor gives an e-mail address, they get an e-mail saying the request was received; after you confirm the appointment in 4appointments, reminders are e-mailed about 24 hours and about 1 hour before it. Messages triggered by bookings through that page are e-mail only.
Look through the gallery and open the one closest to your school, kindergarten, tutoring practice or translation office.
"Use this template" opens the builder; if you are not signed in you are asked to sign in first, and the site is created from the theme.
Replace the sample text and images with your own, add your logo and set the pages you want.
Connect the domain the site will live on, press publish and the site goes online with automatic SSL. Add the link to your booking page where visitors should book.
